  1. Thanks for sharing Cousin “Dicky’s” early years. What a joy to see all of the home videos. I was too young to experience the younger Dick but I saw the cousin I knew in all fo the movies…the eyes, the smile, his energy. I think as cousins, we had a close bond and I miss him dearly.

  2. Dear Family.
We were delighted to read about our friend Dick’s early life, his career and his family. We miss him terribly, and we are so very sorry that Covid etc interfered with saying goodbye. We loved visiting with him and Helena both here in Santa Cruz and in Half Moon Bay. We met at Carmela Russell’s baptism. Helena and I began talking about where she was from. As the story unfolded , it happened that she came from be the same Island and town where my grandparents originated . When I asked her maiden name, she said Lima…that was my grandparents and my mother’s name . We decided that we could possibly be related, so we’ve called each other cousin ever since that day. We always looked forward to more time together…time and life does not always cooperate. We’re sorry we never had a chance to get know Dick’s family.
We think of him still and are thankful for wonderful time we did spend with him. He was so full of life.
    With loving thoughts and memories,
    Bill and Sandra Neary

  3. It seems fitting to be looking at these wonderful pictures and memories on his birthday! We worked together at HP late in his career, I’ve especially enjoyed the photos of his younger self and reading his memories. A great man, wonderful coworker, terribly missed.
